How to improve bounce rate

The importance of the bounce rate has gained post panda, as, there are definitive indications that sites with higher bounce rate are more likely to suffer from Panda. Here are some tips to improve your bounce rate.

1. Analyze your google analytics. Look at the posts that gets the highest traffic. Keep improving the quality of these topics.

2. Include a side table that contains internal link to the related topics on your website.

3. If you are using wordpress, integrate the Related post plugin. But, remember to write articles that makes the article a compelling read. Remember, people will read the relates article only if the article he/she is reading is a good one.

4. Use infographics, illustrations where ever possible.

5. Inside your post include relvant links to the terms about which you have already written.

If your bounce rate is over 85%, you are playing in danger zone and your site may get penalized by Panda. Try to keep it under 80% to be out of the danger zone.

Remember improvement in the bounce rate increase the total number of pages viewed without adding additional posts. For example assume that you have 1000 daily views and you get 1.4 pages per visit. This gives you 1400 page views per day.  By working on the bounce rate, if you improve the page per view to 2.0 pages per visit, you get 2000 page views per day and you get 600 extra page views per day.
